Tixel2®
Next Level Technology

Tixel2® is a revolutionary device that uses pure heat to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It stimulates new collagen formation, leading to improved skin quality and reduced signs of aging such as wrinkles and skin laxity.

Unlike traditional skin resurfacing treatments like Fractional CO2 Laser and injectables, Tixel offers less risk and less downtime. It can even be used directly on the delicate skin of the eyelids, without requiring a protective shield. Plus, because Tixel does not involve radiation, laser, or RF, it's a safe and effective alternative for people who want to avoid those types of treatments.

FAQ

What are the advantages of Tixel2®?

As there is no charring (carbonisation) of the tissue that occurs with laser, Tixel2® offers:

  • Less downtime (0-2 days)

  • Less discomfort (Even safe for eyelid area)

  • Comparable results to fractionated carbon dioxide laser (when performed at higher settings, at a lesser cost)

  • Increased safety with less risks of complications/infections.

What can Tixel2® be used to treat?

The device has 3 different treatment modes - open channel/device assisted drug delivery, non-ablative or fractionated ablative, to improve upon the following conditions:

  • Dry eye

  • Sagging upper eyelid

  • Laxity of the lower eyelid

  • Sun-damage (photo-ageing)

  • Active acne

  • Acne scars

  • Fine lines

  • Dilated pores

  • General skin rejuvenation/tightening

  • Pigmentation/melasma

  • Rosacea

  • Infusion/Delivery of active skincare/topical medications

Does it hurt?

Topical anaesthetic cream is needed for stronger treatments only. You are likely to feel warming sensations throughout the treatment.

If Tixel® is so hot, why is it not painful?

When the device touches the surface of the skin, the pins are 400 degrees Celsius. However, since this is Thermo-Mechanical energy, as the heat moves away from the surface of the skin, it quickly drops to 50 degrees at a depth of 100 microns (which is 0.10 mm). The pain receptors in the skin are at about 50 microns so pain levels are relatively low compared to ablative lasers which cause heat to be transferred to deeper skin levels.

What to expect and post treatment care?

The treatment will take around 30 minutes. If numbing is required, we allow an extra 30 mins for the application of anaesthetic cream. Your skin is cleansed prior to the Tixel2® treatment .

A sunburn-like sensation and some redness may occur 1 – 6 hours after your treatment, and this may last 0 – 2 days. Synergie Mineral Make-up may be used the day after treatment.

You will be prescribed Jan Marini® Premium Serum to apply regularly post-treatment. The concentrate is packed with powerful skin rejuvenating peptides and marine bioferments.

How many treatments will I need?

Most of our patients have their results with just one treatment. For best results, we recommend at least 3 treatments at 4-5  weeks apart. Our skin experts will discuss the number of treatments you will need in your first consultation based on your skin goals.
